An elderly man is in the hospital after crashing his car at the foot of the Jacques-Cartier Bridge in Montreal early Sunday morning. Quebec provincial police (SQ) said that at around 3 a.m., emergency services responded to the single-vehicle crash. The 83-year-old driver sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Police said that for an unknown reason, the man swerved off the road and hit a tree. There were no other cars involved. Police said a health-related incident may have led to the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
