An 18-year-old man was arrested in Riviere-des-Prairies Tuesday morning in connection with the death of a 14-year-old boy whose body was found in September 2024 near a Hells Angels hideout in a small town south of Quebec City. An arrest warrant was issued against the 18-year-old, who was a minor at the time of the incident, for charges including discharging a firearm and arson. Police say he will be taken to the SQ station in Mascouche for questioning, and his court appearance is scheduled for Wednesday. At the time of the boy’s death, Noovo Info reported that the victim was from the Montreal area and allegedly recruited by a street gang from the region. According to teens interviewed by Noovo Info near the victim’s high school, the boy had reportedly gone to Quebec’s Beauce region to carry out a contract. His body was found near the outlaw biker gang’s hideout in Frampton, about 80 kilometres south of Quebec City.“It’s disgusting for street gangs to recruit young people, children, to do their dirty work,” then-public security minister François Bonnardel wrote in a post on social media. In March, a 16-year-old was also arrested in connection with the events. After appearing in youth court and was charged with obstruction, arson of a building, and arson of a vehicle. On April 16, two more people were arrested. Dawson Cyr-Léveillé, 24, was arrested in Valleyfiend to face charges of discharging a firearm, arson of a building, and arson of a vehicle.
