A 27-year-old man was injured in a stabbing on Friday night in the Ville-Marie borough of Montreal. Montreal police (SPVM) received several 911 calls around 6 p.m. regarding a person who had been injured near the intersection of Sherbrooke and Berri streets. The man was stabbed by a sharp object in the upper body and was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Police located and arrested the suspect, a 64-year-old man, near the scene. According to the SPVM, the suspect was transported to the investigation centre, where investigators will meet with him in the coming hours to analyze and better understand the circumstances surrounding the incident.
