Police in Greater Sudbury are still hoping that someone will come forward with new information on an unsolved homicide that dates back more than two years. The body of 36-year-old Pat Forgues was discovered just after 6 a.m. on July 31, 2024, in the area of the large gazebo northeast of the Grace Hartman Amphitheatre in Bell Park. “Upon arrival, paramedics determined that the individual was deceased,” police said in an Aug. 19 news release. An investigation determined that the victim’s injuries could be explained by natural causes. “As a result, the death has been classified as a homicide,” police said. “Investigators are asking anyone who had contact with or interacted with Pat Forgues on the evening of July 30, 2024, to come forward.” Officers are also hoping to hear from anyone who was at Bell Park early in the morning on July 31, 2024.
