Brockville police are searching for the rider of an e-bike who fled from officers during a traffic stop on Tuesday evening. In a news release, police say officers attempted to stop the rider travelling on an e-bike in the style of a dirt bike speeding at 86 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone at approximately 9 p.m. “The operator failed to stop for police. In accordance with public safety considerations, no pursuit was initiated, and officers discontinued the stop attempt,” police say. The suspect’s identity is not known. He was wearing grey at the time of the incident, according to police.
