Regina Police Service SWAT Unit members will dress up as superheroes and rappel down Regina General Hospital walls for a good cause on Thursday. As part of a fundraiser with the Hospitals of Regina Foundation and the Saskatchewan Health Authority, the event aims to bring smiles to children who are patients in the pediatric unit of the hospital. This is the second year for the event. The initiative all started when five members of the Regina Police SWAT team wanted to brighten the days of the children on the ward. Over 2,000 children received care in the Pediatric Inpatient Unit last year. In 2025, the event raised a total of $15,379 for pediatric programs. More to come...
