A driver in Regina is facing a criminal charge after colliding with a police vehicle and failing to stop after the crash. At around 2 p.m. on Sept. 14, a marked police vehicle was involved in a crash near 4th Avenue and Rae Street. The police vehicle was travelling westbound on 4th Avenue when it was hit by another vehicle. The driver did not stay at the scene, and left the area following the crash. Officers found the unoccupied suspect vehicle a short time later on the 600 block of Cameron Street. Further investigation led police to find the man who was driving at the time of the crash. A 50-year-old man is charged with failure to stop after an accident. He’s set to appear in Regina Provincial Court on Oct. 27.
