Many areas of Regina experienced localized flooding on Saturday due to heavy rainfall. A notification from the City of Regina on Saturday afternoon advised residents not to enter flooded areas or the water. The message also advised residents to follow any signage or detours in place. Several events in the city, including the Regina Red Sox Teddy Bear Toss, were cancelled due to the weather. A severe thunderstorm watch is in place for Regina as of 12:30 p.m. Preliminary information from Environment Canada said Regina received 52 millimetres of rain on Saturday.
