On the weekends of September 12 - 13, and 19 - 20, Barrie’s GO Transit line rail service will be closed to accommodate major track upgrades. These track closures are needed to make necessary upgrades to support faster, more frequent GO service as part of GO expansion. During the closure, several areas of the corridor along the Barrie line are being expanded to support the future addition of a second track. In addition to line improvements, significant upgrades at Maple, King City and Aurora GO stations are currently underway as part of the GO expansion. This work can only be completed when train service is modified. On these two September weekends, there will be no GO train service between Downsview Park GO and Union Stations. Additionally, weekday service will be adjusted September 14 to 21. Most trains will arrive or depart several minutes before or after normally scheduled. More information about Barrie line service adjustments and alternate route options are available. Regular service will resume on September 22.
