Two people are facing charges after meth and drug trafficking paraphernalia were found in a Swift Current home. Officers with Saskatchewan RCMP executed a search warrant at a home at 11 Avenue Southeast as part of a drug trafficking investigation on Aug. 11. During the search officers found about 10 grams of meth and drug trafficking paraphernalia. Two people were arrested at the scene. Officers also seized knives the pair had in their possession. A third person, who police had seen driving while prohibited earlier that day, was found in an alley near 2 Avenue Southeast and Central Avenue Southeast. The suspect and two other people were arrested in the alley but were later released from police custody without charges. The two people who were arrested at the home, a 26-year-old and a 32-year-old, were each charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine and possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose. The 26-year-old was also charged with one count of operation while prohibited. The pair were scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 12.
