WestJet has announced an expansion of its flight offerings ahead of the 2026-27 winter holiday season. The expansion, which includes increased flights for five cities across the Prairies, was announced Monday. For the first time, WestJet will offer a non-stop flight between Regina and Los Cabos, Mexico. Similarly, Saskatoon will receive additional weekly flights to both Puerto Vallarta and Cancun, increasing services from four weekly trips to five during peak travel periods. Over the course of the holiday season, WestJet will operate direct routes to Cancun, Mazatlán and Puerto Vallarta for those in Saskatchewan. Regina will also feature a weekly flight to San José del Cabo. The airline presented the expansions as 77 per cent and 64 per cent year over year growth in capacity for Saskatoon and Regina respectively
