A house was lost to fire early Sunday morning in North Vancouver’s Upper Lonsdale neighbourhood, officials say. An update from the District of North Vancouver placed the structure fire on East Osborne Road near Lonsdale Avenue and Carisbrooke Park. Videos captured at the scene during suppression efforts show an older home fully engulfed in flames, and a photo taken later shows the charred building partially collapsed near its front entrance. The district said a neighbouring structure was damaged by the fire and warned those living in the area about the possibility of cloudy water. Officials explained this stems from the firefighting effort and assured locals “the water is safe to drink and will return to clear.” CTV News has reached out to District of North Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services for more information on the matter.
