Two suspects are facing 17 criminal charges and Windsor police are looking for two additional suspects following investigations into the grooming and sexual exploitation of two underage girls. In April 2026, members of the Windsor Police Human Trafficking Unit launched an investigation after receiving information that a female youth had been groomed and sexually exploited by an unknown suspect. Investigators learned that the victim had initially connected with a man who identified himself as “Jack” through Snapchat. Police say the man developed a relationship with the victim online before meeting with her in person, where he provided alcohol, food, and marijuana in exchange for sexual acts. Investigators identified the suspect as 26-year-old Hariom Yadav. On April 10, officers located and arrested Yadav at a business in Windsor’s west end. After Yadav was arrested, police identified 27-year-old Simranjeet Singh as an additional suspect in similar offences involving the original victim. Police say a second victim also came forward and identified Singh, who used the alias “Sam” on Snapchat, as the individual who sexually exploited her. As the investigation progressed, investigators say they determined that the sexual exploitation of both victims included coercion to engage in sexual acts for money in circumstances consistent with human trafficking. On July 3, members of the Windsor Police Problem-Oriented Policing Unit located and arrested Singh at a residence in the city’s west end. Yadav has been charged with the following offences: Singh has been charged with the following offences: Two additional suspects are wanted for obtaining sexual services for consideration from a person under the age of 18, and investigators believe there may be additional victims.
