A new version of McDonald’s is now in Winnipeg. The fast food chain held a ribbon cutting ceremony for a drive-thru only restaurant on Wednesday on Kenaston Boulevard. It is the first drive-thru only McDonald’s restaurant in Canada, and only their third in North America. “The location is a prototype of a new style of on-the-go restaurant that focuses on providing maximum convenience for guests and meeting the needs of the community,” a news release from the organization said. The other two drive-thru only locations are in Texas and California, according to the McDonald’s website. The Winnipeg store is located at 540 Kenaston Blvd and is officially open to customers starting Friday.
