Winnipeg police confirmed Thursday that officers were called to the first 100 block of Byrd Avenue at 9:30 a.m. for a report of a man who appeared to be walking to a vehicle with an apparent firearm. Police identified a residence involved in the situation, and access to neighbouring streets has been restricted to assist dispatched units, which includes the tactical team and drone unit.
