Emergency crews responded to a major crash that closed Highway 11 in Severn Township Saturday morning. In a 6:08 a.m. social media post, the OPP described the incident as a ‘serious collision’ between Grayshott Road and Goldstein Road/South Sparrow Lake Road. An OPP public information advisor (PIA) told CTV News the crash happened at around 4 a.m. and involved a pickup truck and car. Both directions of the highway were closed in the area. Police say injuries were being assessed and the closure was expected to be lengthy. Traffic was detoured through South Sparrow Lake to Cambrian Road and Nichols Line to return back to the open portion of the highway. In a 10:53 a.m. update, the OPP confirmed that the area had reopened.
