The second day of Stampede is shaping up to be a nice one. Saturday will play out a lot like Friday. There will be lots of sunshine for much of the day, but by 2 p.m., the city runs into the chance of isolated showers and the risk of thunderstorms. Wind gusts will be similar too, coming in at up to 45 km/h in the afternoon. Sunday also comes with the risk of afternoon showers and thunderstorms, but it will be a cooler day with a high of 16 C. Starting next week, the hot weather returns, with temperatures coming into the high 20s by Tuesday. Here is a look at a cool thunderstorm in Calgary on July 3, courtesy of Chris V.
