With the healthy dump of snow the region saw throughout Wednesday, snow plows are still working around the clock to keep area roads clear. Although northern parts of the region have seen significant accumulations, the flurries are expected to wind down - with the exception of the Bruce Peninsula. “There is one persistent snow squall that has been moving through. It will drift southward towards the northern part of Grey County as we head into the late afternoon,” cautioned CTV London Meteorologist Julie Atchison. We’re not done with the snow yet, “[there is] another round of snow coming in, but this one will arrive overnight into Saturday morning,” predicted Atchison. That next blast of snow is associated with a cold front expected to sweep the region on Saturday. Forecast highs will remain well below seasonal, with chilly winds, however there is some relief expected on Friday, “I mentioned some peaks of sunshine today that will be nice. And then Friday night, the clouds move back in with a chance for snow overnight into Saturday,” said Atchison. “We will see temperatures rebound early next week, but that could lead to a rain snow mix Wednesday into Thursday with daytime highs set to climb back above freezing between three and four degrees.” Here’s your London area forecast for Friday Friday: Cloudy.
