Hot and humid conditions are expected in the area for your Friday- with the heat expected to persist into the weekend. “Temperatures in the afternoon are feeling like the upper 30s,” cautioned CTV London Meteorologist Julie Atchison. “We’ll start the day with a mix of sun and cloud and winds light out of the south.” There is the chance of a shower in the afternoon, as well as isolated thunderstorms throughout the region. Forecasts through the weekend are looking a fairly quiet, “the weekend (will be) a bit unsettled, we’ll be dodging some showers,” said Atchison. “Anytime you get an air mass like this, there is the potential for scattered showers developing.” Chances for rain will increase headed into the evening on Saturday, although it doesn’t look to be a rainout, although, “not great in terms of high humidity,” admitted Atchison.
