Brady Lidster of St. Thomas, Ont. is off to a great start in his Canadian Football League career. The former kicker for the Windsor Lancers went 4-5 on field goals and added a pair of extra points in the Toronto Argos 26-12 victory over the British Columbia Lions. Lidster was called up after kicker Lirim Hajrullahu failed to convert a game winning kick last week against the Hamilton Tiger Cats. Hajrullahu – a former Western Mustang – was listed as out for “non-injury related reasons” making way for Lidster’s debut. After making a convert in the first quarter, Lidster made a 37-yard kick for his first career field goal. He’d later make kicks of 24, 47, and 48 yards. His final field goal attempt hit the upright. After being drafted by Winnipeg in the eighth round of the 2026 CFL Draft, Lidster was released by the Blue Bombers after training camp. Lidster was a First Team All-Canadian in 2025 after making 82 per cent of his field goals and converting 100 per cent of his extra points for the University of Windsor. He set multiple Lancer records while at school, including most field goals in a game (seven), most field goals all time (81), and most points scored over a career (331). He also holds a share of the OUA record for longest field goal at 55 yards.
