Police say they’ve charged a Sarnia man with manslaughter after a fatal fentanyl overdose in 2024. Police say 35-year-old Brandi McConnell died on May 2, 2024, after using the opioid. Through cell phone records, officers were able to identify the person they believe supplied her the drugs. Police arrested 30-year-old Mackenzie Kozlof on Monday. He is charged with Manslaughter and Trafficking in a Schedule I Substance (Fentanyl).
