The London Knights overcame their southwestern Ontario rivals in Sarnia Friday night, earning a 4-1 win. The Knights only managed four shots on goal in the first period, but were able to score twice. Jaxon Cover and William Nicholl found the back of the net for their tenth and third goals of the season, respectively. The Sting pulled one back late in the second period to make it 2-1, but London retaliated immediately. Caleb Mitchell scored just 37 seconds later, restoring a two-goal lead. The Knights put on a stingy defensive effort in the final frame, preventing Sarnia from registering a single shot on goal. A Henry Brzustewicz empty-netter sealed the victory for London, the Knights’ second win in a row. London’s road trip continues Saturday afternoon in Owen Sound, before heading to Sault Ste. Marie on Wednesday.
