Officials with the London and St. Thomas Realtors Association (LSTAR) say the local housing market is starting to balance out. According to LSTAR, 725 homes sold in July, up nearly 30 per cent compared to July of last year. It’s also the strongest July for home sales since 2021. Meanwhile, more homes are hitting the market with the average sale price down slightly from a year ago — about $650,000. Officials say the sales-to-new-listings ratio points to a balanced market rather than heavily favouring buyers or sellers.
