The London Knights opened a three game road trip through Northern Ontario with a 5-2 loss in North Bay Thursday night. The Knights fell behind early, after a pair of Battalion goals in the game’s opening minutes. Braidy Wassilyn continued his strong recent play though, getting London back within one shortly after. His ninth goal of the season ties him with captain Sam O’Reilly for the team lead. The Battalion found a third goal late in the second period, and then put the game out of reach with a fourth early in the third. The loss brings London’s modest two-game winning streak to an end. The Knights’ road trip continues Friday night in Sudbury, taking on a Wolves team at the bottom of the OHL standings. It finishes with a trip to Sault Ste. Marie on Saturday.
