A 15-hour search for an overdue kayaker in Grand Bend, Ont. has ended tragically. OPP told CTV News that early Sunday morning, the search had concluded with the recovery of the individual who was pronounced dead. Police first alerted the public on Saturday evening around 6 p.m., saying residents in the area will see a heavy police presence as the search continues. Officers said the adult man was seen in a solid blue kayak wearing a yellow life jacket on Lake Huron. The search continued through the night with the search on land, water and in the air. In an email to CTV News, Huron OPP stated they would like to thank emergency response partners and members of the public who assisted with search efforts.
