The Sarnia Police Service is on scene investigating after a vehicle hit a home early Saturday morning. First responders were called to the area of Poplar Avenue and Evergreen Drive around 2:20 a.m. Saturday morning where they found two people with injuries. Sarnia Fire and Rescue (SFAR) described finding a “vehicle that had violently struck the concrete steps of a home.” They added the concrete steps absorbed the impact and brought the vehicle to an abrupt stop. “Had the vehicle continued forward, there was potential for a more serious outcome, as the home’s occupants were inside and asleep at the time,” added SFAR. The area was stabilized and the vehicle was secured while patients were assessed. The two occupants of the vehicle were transported to Bluewater Health by EMS for further assessment and treatment. Their injuries are unknown.
