Sarnia police seize thousands in weapons, drugs, and other paraphernalia in search

Sarnia police say that a pair of search warrants carried out at homes on Elgin Street and Wellington Street resulted in thousands of dollars in controlled substances and drug trafficking related material.

According to police, the search on Thursday evening with the assistance of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and K9 Unit saw the seizure of:

• 3.51 g cocaine, 0.19 g crystal methamphetamine, and 1.17 g fentanyl
• Over $4000 in cash
• Drug trafficking paraphernalia
• Modified Olin flare gun capable of firing a 12‑gauge shotgun round
• Black modified pellet gun capable of firing single‑shot .22 calibre rounds
• Over 600 rounds of various ammunition types

A 59-year-old man has been charged with various drug trafficking and weapons charges, as well as possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
