Winter is ready whether you are or not. “Some active weather on the move for this weekend,” cautioned CTV London Meteorologist Julie Atchison. “As we head into your Sunday, this is where things will start to get interesting.” A large system is set to sweep over the area on Sunday, combining with energy off to the south and moisture from the Great Lakes rounding it out for a healthy snowfall. “The snow will start likely overnight,” predicted Atchison. “We’re expecting it through the day on Sunday, snowfall amounts will be varied.” Although the lake will ensure that temperatures along the shoreline will stay on the milder side, the first snow of the season is expected regardless. “There is the potential for about two to 10 centimeters as the system makes its way through the area into Sunday afternoon,” predicted Atchison. “Please plan ahead if you are traveling.” Here’s your London area forecast Saturday: Cloudy with 40 per cent chance of showers.
