Nishnawbe Aski Police Service’s Constance Lake First Nation Detachment said the investigation continues into an early morning incident involving a firearm Saturday. The community safety bulletin requesting residents remain indoors amid a shooting investigation has been lifted, police said in a release Aug. 29. “Early Saturday morning, investigators determined the incident occurred at a residence in the community where an adult male victim sustained injuries during an apparent shooting,” police said. The area was contained and paramedics transported the victim to a hospital for evaluation and treatment. Police said the extent of the man’s injuries are unknown at this time.
