The Hospitals of Regina Foundation (HRF) unveiled the grand prize showhome for their fall home lottery. The $1.8 million home is located in Emerald Park. It comes fully furnished and landscaped, along with $25,000 in cash. There is a total of $3 million in prizes to be won, including trips to Jamaica, Australia and Bora Bora. The money raised by the lottery will support Regina hospitals and improve the quality of life for those living in Saskatchewan. The HRF funds numerous health care units, but one area that receives funding every year is the neonatal intensive care unit. “The way a society cares about children is indicative of its maturity, if you wish,” Dino Sophocleous, president and CEO of the HRF told media on Wednesday. “If we don’t care for these babies when they need it the most, and when they are at their most vulnerable, well then when are we going to do that.” Tickets are available online or at the grand prize showhome, which is open for tours Thursday and Friday evenings, as well as Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
