REGINA — Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe is heading to the United Kingdom next week for the World Nuclear Symposium. The province says Moe will be leading a trade and investment mission to reinforce Saskatchewan’s position as the jurisdiction of choice in nuclear co-operation. The World Nuclear Symposium in London is set to start Tuesday. Moe is also to participate in a panel event profiling Saskatchewan’s nuclear industry. The government says that over the past five years, Saskatchewan exports to the U.K. increased almost 178 per cent. It says the growth has been driven by the province’s uranium, which in 2025 accounted for about 57 per cent of its total U.K. exports. “Our province has what it takes to be a world leader in nuclear energy development with our extensive uranium resources, nuclear research infrastructure and supply chain capabilities, and Saskatchewan-based businesses and research organizations are at the forefront of the global nuclear renaissance,” Moe said in a news release Friday. “The U.K. has been a vital gateway to growing Saskatchewan’s nuclear sector and I look forward to building on our relationships.” Jeremy Harrison, minister of Crown Investments Corporation, is to join the symposium after representing Saskatchewan at the International Defence Industry Exhibition in Poland alongside federal and provincial counterparts.
