Peel Regional Police say they are searching for a suspect wanted in connection with several attempted vehicle thefts that resulted in one vehicle owner being stabbed in Brampton Sunday evening. According to police, at around 10:00 p.m. a suspect attempted to steal a vehicle at in the area of Clockwork Drive and Creditview Road while the owner was still inside. The suspect stabbed the owner before fleeing on foot, police said. The victim was taken to a local trauma centre with non-life-threatening injuries. Police say the suspect then kicked in the front door of a nearby residence and demanded the keys to a vehicle. The suspect was unsuccessful and fled the area. The suspect then attempted to steal two other vehicles in the area before fleeing on foot again. Police describe the suspect as a South Asian male between 25 and 30 years old with a slim build and a possible tattoo on his neck. He was last seen wearing a grey sweater, light-coloured pants, black Crocs, a blue-and-white Toronto Blue Jays baseball cap and a black messenger-style bag over his shoulder. “The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous. If seen, members of the public are advised not to approach him and to call 9-1-1 immediately.” Police said in a news release.
