A prominent Metro Vancouver financial advisor under investigation by B.C.’s financial markets regulator has allegedly failed to comply with a summons requiring him to participate in an interview. Peter Cishecki was served with the summons in person on July 22, according to a notice of hearing issued by the B.C. Securities Commission Wednesday. The notice adds that the investigator who was set to conduct the interview emailed Cishecki’s counsel on Sept. 2 and 9 and emailed Cishecki directly on Sept. 11 regarding the summons. Cishecki was required to give evidence in an interview at the BCSC office on Sept. 15, but did not appear, the notice alleges. “After Cishecki failed to attend on Sept. 15, 2026, the commission investigator emailed Cishecki advising him that he was required to attend the following day,” the document reads. “On Sept. 16, 2026, Cishecki again failed to attend the interview.” The allegations against Cishecki have not been proven. He or his lawyer is required to appear at the BCSC’s offices on Nov. 3 if he wants to respond to the allegations before a hearing is scheduled. The commission’s underlying investigation involves allegations—which also have not been proven—that Cishecki, Everything Financial Group (EFG) and Everything Financial Consultants Inc. (EFCI) have been “making principal and interest payments to investors using other investors’ money.” The BCSC put temporary orders in place against Cishecki and his two companies back in July, and extended them at the end of that month. The orders prohibit trading in the securities issued by EFG and EFCI, and prohibit both companies and Cishecki from engaging in promotional activities. CTV News has sought comments from Cishecki and his companies on multiple occasions since July, but has not received a response. In an email to clients sent after the BCSC’s allegations first became public, Everything Financial said it is co-operating with the regulator’s investigation. “We will continue to fully co-operate with the BCSC and clear our name and reputation that we have worked over 30 years to achieve,” the email said. CTV News has again requested comment from Cishecki and his companies after the latest BCSC allegations. This story will be updated if a response is received. For many years, Cishecki and other advisors from Everything Financial Group have appeared regularly in paid segments on CTV News Vancouver’s local broadcasts to discuss financial planning strategies. Everything Financial has also been a regular advertiser, running commercials for financial services. In a statement issued after the BCSC’s initial orders in July, Bell Media Communications said CTV News Vancouver “is no longer associated with Everything Financial Group.”
