Forecasters are warning Lower Mainland residents of dense fog Wednesday morning. Environment Canada issued a yellow advisory covering the western Fraser Valley, particularly near the Fraser River, as well as all of Metro Vancouver except for the North Shore. “Visibility will likely be suddenly reduced at times. If driving, turn on your lights, slow down and maintain a safe following distance,” the advisory reads. More than a dozen arriving flights at Vancouver International Airport were delayed Wednesday morning, as well as a handful of departures. The alert was issued at 5 a.m. and did not provide a time the fog is estimated to dissipate.
