Voters across British Columbia are choosing new mayors and councillors on Oct. 17—and CTV News will be streaming results live. Anchors Mi-Jung Lee and Nafeesa Karim are hosting special coverage of the municipal elections beginning at 8 p.m., when polls close. Reporters will also be stationed at various campaign headquarters in Vancouver, Surrey, Victoria and Richmond. You can watch the coverage live on CTVNewsVancouver.ca, Crave, YouTube, TikTok and X. The special will also feature commentary from former Vancouver city councillor George Affleck, former Vancouver Park Board chair Aaron Jasper, and Research Co. president Mario Canseco. Vancouver has already broken advance voting records, with more than 103,000 people casting an early ballot—an increase of 60 per cent from the 2022 election.
