A pilot and their small plane were unscathed after an emergency landing on Highway 11 just north of Huntsville Friday evening. According to an OPP public information advisor (PIA), the pilot was on their way to South River and had to make an emergency landing on Highway 11 northbound at around 6 p.m. near Emsdale. The OPP PIA says the pilot was the lone occupant and managed to land safely without injury or damage to their single-engine aircraft. The highway was closed for a short period of time as the plane was moved to the shoulder and towed. Transport Canada is now investigating the incident.
