A Barrie woman faces a whole mess of charges after being busted for impaired driving. Barrie police got a call about an SUV that striking a parked car and fleeing the area on Sunday at around 1 p.m. Police located the car near Austen Lane and Atwood Court and while pulling over, the SUV climbed the curb. The woman was arrested and taken to the station, where she blew nearly three-times over the legal limit of allowable blood/alcohol concentration. A 46-year-old Barrie woman faces several impaired driving charges as well as fail to remain at the scene offences. Barrie Police encourages the public to report suspected impaired drivers. Police say one call could prevent an impaired driver from hurting themselves or someone else.
