Edmonton’s first-ever Picklefest had a lot to dill with on Saturday. The Ice District event celebrating all things briny and fermented was temporarily shut down when heavy wind tore through its Fan Park tented location. Organizers posted to social media about the closure just after 1 p.m. as winds tore through the city. Around 4:30 p.m., an update said doors would reopen at 5 p.m. The festivities were extended until 7 p.m. Picklefest was initially only set to run until 5 p.m.
