Contemporary soul and R&B singer-songwriter Leon Bridges will be making a stop in Edmonton on his Happiness Anytime 2027 tour. Bridges released his fifth full-length studio album of the same name in September to critical acclaim from NPR, Pitchfork and Rolling Stone, the latter of which said of the record: “Music to get you moving … Aimed at soothing the spirits in troubled times.” The Northern Alberta Jubilee will host the Grammy-award winning Bridges on Aug. 17. Tickets go on sale Oct. 16. London-based funk septet Kokoroko is slated to open. Bridges will also perform two dates in Calgary and make stops in Vancouver and Toronto.
