The Cambridge Fire Department was called to a fire at a rail yard on Friday morning. Crews doused the flames at the facility on Samuelson Street, but some of the smoke lingered into the afternoon. In an email to CTV News around 3:45 p.m., the fire department confirmed CPKC workers at the site were using equipment to ensure the area was safe. The work was expected to take several hours. There were no road closures, no injuries had been reported and nearby schools were not impacted.
