Waterloo Regional Police have released photos of four males they want to identify as part of a shooting investigation. On July 31, just before 8:30 p.m., gunshots rang out at Duke Street East and Scott Street in downtown Kitchener. “Through the investigation, officers determined that a confrontation occurred between several individuals before shots were fired,” police said in a media release on Saturday. “The involved parties fled the area prior to police arrival.” No injuries were reported and the road was closed for more than four hours while police investigated. On Wednesday, they shared images of the four males. Police said they wanted to speak to them as “it’s believed they may have information to assist in the investigation.” Anyone who can identify the males, or has any information about the shooting, is asked to contact Waterloo Regional Police Service’s General Investigations Unit at 519-570-9777, extension 4496.
