A man has been charged in connection with an assault with a weapon investigation. On Saturday around 3:45 a.m., officers said a man was asleep in a structure in a wooded area near Clarke Road and Oxford Street, when a suspect woke him up. The suspect allegedly hit the man with a sword, causing serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The victim ran and called 911. A police drone was launched to help find the suspect. They were arrested without incident. The LPS confirmed both the victim and suspect were known to each other. A 36-year-old man from London has been charged with assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm.
