Scammer redirects over $100K from Tillsonburg business: OPP

Provincial police say a business in the Tillsonburg has contacted Police after a large payment was redirected by a scammer.

At 7 p.m. on Monday, the Oxford OPP detachment was notified of a potential fraud.

The business thought they were sending payment to the same account they previously had, but somehow the account name had slightly changed.

Police say the investigation is in the early stages and updates will be provided as they become available.
