Longueuil police (SPAL) are investigating a possible vehicle arson that occurred Thursday night. A 911 call came in around 8:30 p.m. reporting a vehicle on fire on Carignan Street. Firefighters were able to quickly bring the fire under control. “No injuries were reported, and the nearby building was not affected by the fire. In addition, no traffic disruptions were reported in connection with the response,” a SPAL spokesperson said. According to police, evidence at the scene suggests the fire was a criminal act. SPAL investigators will continue examining the scene to shed light on the circumstances surrounding the incident.
