A 26-year-old man is in hospital after Montreal police say he was stabbed by another person in the early morning hours on Sunday. Montreal police received a 911 call at around 3:20 a.m. and responded to the intersection of Berri Street and Mont-Royal Avenue East in the Plateau-Mont-Royal borough. When officers arrived on scene, they found the victim with serious injuries to his upper body. He was sent to hospital but police say his injuries are not life-threatening. A 29-year-old man was arrested nearby and taken in for questioning by investigators. According to witnesses, a conflict broke out involving several people, during which the suspect allegedly stabbed the victim with an edged weapon. The investigation continues.
