A 33-year-old man is dead after being shot in his car in a residential neighbourhood of Laval, north of Montreal, on Thursday morning. Laval police (SPL) received a 911 call at 8:35 a.m. about the incident on Palardy Street in the Auteuil neighbourhood. First responders who arrived on the scene quickly administered CPR before transferring the man to hospital, where his death was confirmed. “Right now, we have a big deployment of officers on scene,” said Laurent Arsenault, a spokesperson with Laval police. A large security perimeter has been established in the area to allow investigators to canvass the site. The file has been transferred to Quebec provincial police. Arsenault could not confirm if the victim was known to police.
