A 35-year-old man is in hospital after a stabbing near the Atwater Market on Monday night. Montreal police (SPVM) received a 911 call at 11 p.m. about the incident on Atwater Avenue near Notre-Dame Street. “When police arrived, they located the victim,” said Florence Stafford, a spokesperson with Montreal police. “He had serious injuries to the upper body, possibly with a sharp object.” The man was transported to hospital, where his life is not considered to be in danger. A security perimeter was established to allow investigators to canvass the scene. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
