Collavino Conservation Area trail reopened

The trail at the Collavino Conservation Area has reopened after turtle nesting season.

The trail at the Amherstburg conservation area was closed as turtle researchers monitored the site during nesting. It is home to species-at-risk, including Blanding’s Turtles, Eastern Spiny Soft Turtles, and Snapping Turtles.

Now, ahead of Aug. 21, the Essex Region Conservation Area is looking for feedback on the draft management plan. The survey is available on ERCA’s website.
