OPP are investigating a suspicious fire in Essex.

A suspicious fire is being investigated in Essex.

Just after 7:30 a.m. on Monday morning, emergency services were called to the blaze at a trailer in the 900 block of Iler Road.

Police and the Ontario Fire Marshal are now appealing to the public for information. If you saw any suspicious activity in the area, you are asked to call police at 1-888-310-1122.

There will be an increased police presence in the area, but there is no threat to public safety.
