Four people have been arrested in connection with the death of a 72-year-old man in Lynn Lake, Manitoba RCMP say. Police were first alerted on Sept. 20 at 7:30 a.m., when a cell guard at the Lynn Lake RCMP detachment told officers a man was lying on the ground outside the building. Responding officers found a man with serious injuries and immediately began first aid while calling for EMS. The 72-year-old later died of his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, Mounties said. Police believe the man had left his home to go to the detachment after being assaulted, and that he died shortly after arriving on the property. His death was treated as suspicious, and Manitoba RCMP Major Crime Services took over the investigation. That investigation has since led to four arrests. Three people in their 20s and a 49-year-old, all from Lynn Lake, have each been charged with assault causing bodily harm. All four remain in custody and none of the charges have been proven in court. RCMP say the investigation is continuing alongside the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
